Aero Industries Facilities We are located in Buellton California, about 130 miles north of Los Angeles. We are in a 10,000 sq. ft facility. We operate two 10 hour shifts. We are open Monday - Friday and Weekends if needed. We started business in 1972 we have over 30 years of machining experience. Our employees are our true assets. Our production manager has been with us for over 25 years, our programmer has been with us for over 20 years. We have many long time employees. We have an experienced team and we know how to machine parts. Our equipment is state of the art, well maintained and complements the precision work we do. INSPECTION EQUIPMENT (As listed under inspection services) CMM Inspection Room 1: This is a separate room with its own temperature control system that houses our CMM. This is a 2006 Mitutoyo CMM with 19.8 inches of Travel on X, 27.7 inches of Travel on Y and 15.9 inches of Travel on Z. This machine is fully calibrated and accurate to .00002 of an inch on all plans and across it's entire travel. This machine has a fully articulating head with a rack of 6 inspection probes. We can configure a probe sequence to inspect almost any feature. This machine is fully automated and can perform the most intricate and accurate inspection routines without human intervention. All data can be saved to an SPC data base or printed. General Inspection Room 2: We have 4 inspection stations equipped with Starrett inspection grade granite plates. We use a new Mitutoyo optical comparator model #PH-A14 for quick and accurate inspection of irregular shaped parts. We have 2 Mitutoyo height masters along with an array of Swiss test indicators that can accurately repeat measurements from .0001 to .00005. We use only the most accurate Swiss made Etalon micrometers ranging from 1"- 12". For larger diameters or oddly shaped parts that require micrometer accuracy of .0001 we have several specialty micrometers ranging from 1 inch up to 3 feet in diameter. To check hardness we have a Starett hardness tester. For measuring surface finishes we us an electronic Mitutoyo Surface Roughness tester Model # SJ-301 with printable output. Included in our inspection tools are several fully jeweled Japanese dial indicators ranging from 1" to #" of travel with measuring capacities from .001 to .00005 Our general inspection room also has a complete set of Class Z inspection Grade Vermont pin gauges from .010 to 1.00 in diameter. Along with fully traceable set of Grade A inspection Blocks. For even closer work we utilize deltronic gauges along with our MAHR Bore gauge sets, we can inspect inside diameters as close as .00005 inches.
